Dental/Gut Health Powder with Low Odor

Smells better than plaqueoff proden which leaves my dog with fishy breath after meals. Same kelp ingredient with a bunch of other ingredients to help with digestive health and probiotics. My dog seems to like the flavor but I'll need more time to test the effectiveness. I do have friends who don't use the plaqueoff brand because it can cause stomach upset so that is one really nice thing about this product is it boosts sensitive stomachs while targeting teeth. It is not VOHC (Veterinary Oral Health Council) approved but it does contain the kelp proven to reduce plaque and tartar. Even brand new the container is only a little over half full but it does come with a scooper. One thing to keep in mind is that there are only about 60 scoops in it so for me, I would need one of these every month for my 50 lb dog.

Even My Extremely Picky Dogs Didn't Notice It

As a proud dog parent, I am always looking for ways to keep my pups healthy without turning daily care into a struggle. The Pets Are Kids Dog Dental Powder has turned out to be one of those products that makes life easier for both me and my dogs. First, the convenience is fantastic. Instead of wrestling with a toothbrush or relying on dental chews that my dogs sometimes ignore, this powder simply gets sprinkled over their food. They eat their meals like normal and never seem to notice anything different, which is a huge win. What impressed me the most is that my dogs are extremely picky eaters. They are the type that will sniff their bowls and walk away if something seems even slightly different. I was honestly expecting some hesitation the first time I added this to their food, but there was absolutely no push back at all. They ate their meals exactly like they always do, which tells me the powder blends in very naturally with their food. I also appreciate the ingredients and the thought behind the formula. Dental health is incredibly important for dogs because plaque and tartar buildup can lead to bigger health problems over time. Adding this powder to their routine feels like an easy preventative step that supports healthier teeth and fresher breath. Another great aspect is that a little goes a long way. The container should last quite a while depending on your dog's size, making it a practical and easy addition to their daily routine. Overall, this is one of those products that makes you wonder why you did not start using it sooner. It is simple, effective, and completely stress free for both pets and owners. My picky pups approve, and that alone says a lot. 🐾

Very good product.

I really like this product and so do the dogs. It was sealed very well under the lid to ensure freshness. I like the limited ingredients which are actually easy to understand. The only one I didn't know was Clinoptilolite zeolite and after looking it up, it is a natural, volcanic mineral used as a feed additive for dogs to support detoxification, improve digestive health, and reduce fecal odor. I'm not sure what it does for teeth but also mentions regulating PH but also that it should be given with water when given alone. This also contains pumkin - which I really like BUT... I also give pumpkin to my dogs separately at times. I won't give both on the same day or two days to ensure no extra "benefits" of it kicking into their intestines TOO much. It had a freshness / moisture packet inside which I removed, it came with a scoop inside and it sprinkled on nice and evenly. As far as effectiveness, I haven't noticed an "off" smell from my middle dogs breath but at the same time, I usually only notice the bad smells so that must mean it's doing something. The smell of the powder was one of the best I've smelled - almost nothing although they do mention this is bacon flavored. For a just under $30 you get 60 scoops. Depending on your size dog, you'll need 1-3 scoops per day. I have three dogs, 1 in each catagory so thats 6 scoops per day if I gave it to each of them every day. Since my middle is the one having most significant dental buildup, I'll give it to him and I'll get aproximately 30 days for that $30. Overall I found this to be a good product but it's too pricey to give to all of my dogs at the same time.

Helped my dog's breath from the inside out

I have 4 dogs, and one of them has always had pretty bad breath, but not because of her teeth. She gets regular dental cleanings and exams every year, and everything always comes back normal. That got me thinking it might be more of a gut issue than a dental one. After using this consistently for a few weeks, I actually started noticing her breath improve, which was surprising but makes sense since this was formulated to improve the gut microbiome. It's not an overnight change, but the improvement has been noticeable. It's really easy to use. I just sprinkle it on all 4 of my dogs' food and none of them have had an issue eating it, so I'm guessing the bacon flavor is appealing to them. The powder itself mixes in easily and doesn't make a mess. I also like that it's doing more than just covering up smell (like brushing with doggy toothpaste does), it actually supports things at the source in the gut microbiome. For the price, I think it's a good value, especially since it's covering both dental and gut support in one product. I've used other Pets Are Kids Too products and have loved them all. I love the brand's priorities in focusing on quality ingredients and making things that actually help our furry kids. I recommend this product!

Works to an extent.

Ingredients: 4/5 Texture: 3/5 Scent: 3/5 Taste: 3/5 Appearance: 3/5 Effectiveness: 4/5 Overall: I would recommend this for dogs. My dog seems to take to the flavor very well. Her bad breath seems to taperdown quite well.

Passes my smell test

I can smell the difference in my dogs' breath. This powder mixes easily into their food, and they eat it without hesitation. The formula targets odor-causing bacteria, and the improvement is noticeable after regular use. It is a simple way to support fresher breath without brushing or dealing with messy gels. The probiotic is a nice addition, and it seems to help keep the mouth balanced. I like that it also includes pumpkin, green tea, kelp, zinc, and Vitamin C, and the ingredient list is clean. The bacon flavor blends well into meals, and it has not caused any stomach issues. For daily maintenance between cleanings, this is an easy product to use. I am awarding 5 stars for the breath improvement, the clean formula, and how well it mixes into food.

Small Container, Slow Results, No Dog Resistance

This container is a lot smaller than I expected compared with other dry dental supplements I have tried. This product's formula seems to be more concentrated than other products I have tried. Overall, the product is okay, not necessarily great, but I have not found another product my dog is willing to tolerate for an extended time. The product is slow acting, meaning it takes a couple of days to notice a gradual improvement in my dog's breath. On the plus side, this product seems to neutralize the bacteria causing the odor rather than just masking it with a herbal cocktail. There is also the gut health part of the product, which is an added plus if your dog needs it. My dog has had no issues consuming the product daily with meals. I did notice that the product does make my dog's stool considerably lighter and whiter, similar to when they go to town on a bone. I also noticed that after a rainy day, the stool is full of granular bits of the product. I am not sure if this is on purpose or by product design. I might purchase this product again or another product depending on which is more cost effective. There is nothing inherently wrong with the product, however I am still looking for the holy grail of dog breath neutralizers.

Made in America & GREAT ingredients!

I'm so excited to use this! It has great ingredients and is made in America - in Michigan! Super easy, just add a scoop to food. I don't know how this actually works yet, but I will update and be purchasing more if it works as claimed! Texture and smell is good. Scoop is included.

Decent product, dogs like it

I went into this with pretty realistic expectations-dental powders for dogs can be hit or miss-but this one ended up being a decent addition to our routine. The biggest win is how easy it is to use. You just mix it into your dog's food, and there's no brushing battle involved. If you've ever tried to brush a dog's teeth, you know that convenience alone is a big deal. The bacon flavor seems to help too-my dog didn't hesitate to eat his food with it mixed in, which isn't always the case with supplements. In terms of results, it's not an overnight fix, but I did notice a gradual improvement in breath after a couple of weeks. It takes the edge off that strong dog breath smell, which was my main goal. As for tartar and plaque, it's harder to measure directly, but teeth looked a bit cleaner over time when used consistently alongside regular chew toys. I also like that it includes a probiotic (OraCMU), which adds a gut health angle. Whether that's a major benefit or just a bonus is hard to say, but it's nice to have a product that isn't just masking bad breath. A couple of honest drawbacks: - It requires consistency-you won't see much change if you use it off and on. - If your dog is a picky eater, there's still a chance they might notice it, even with the bacon flavor. - This doesn't replace proper dental care or vet cleanings; it's more of a support product. Overall, this is a low-effort way to help manage your dog's breath and support dental hygiene between cleanings. It's not a miracle solution, but for something you can just scoop into food daily, it does a solid job.

The Stinky Breath has Survived

We tried this powder for our golden retriever, whom we love, and who has the worst breath. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the worst breath, his is a 10. This powder seems to have taken his breath down to about an 8 at best, so no harm but also not what we were hoping to happen. He eats his food normally with the powder on top. The powder does make a mess in his bowl, as it leaves a residue. As far as his digestive process, etc., that all seems normal with the powder. So, bottomline, you could give it a try for your dog's stinky breath; it may be somewhat helpful but is not the miracle for which we hoped.

Dogs are taking it fine

Seems everyone has a powder for dogs now, so how does this one work? Pretty well so far. This powder is billed as a probiotic supplement for dogs with a focus on dental health and breath freshener. I'm fortunate that my dogs tend to chew a lot so they don't really have major dental issues but who can turn down the chance to keep their breath nicer? I started by reviewing the ingredients and everything checks out that I can tell. The main ingredient is Weissella cibaria, which my research tells me is to fight oral bacteria. This supports both of the supplement's goals, to fight plaque and improve breath, and the ingredient is not known to be toxic. Decaffeinated green tea extract in the supplement is also supposed to fight oral bacteria. Chicory root fiber, pumpkin powder, and a variety of digestive enzymes in the supplement support probiotic function. They support gut bacteria, which can lead to improved digestion and immune function. Not known to be toxic to canines, but larger amounts can cause gas or soft stools. Kelp is another ingredient and it provides some antioxidants. This can be an issue for dogs with iodine sensitivity, though the quantities of the ingredient in this powder are probably acceptable. Generally, all the ingredients were considered non-toxic, though some should not be used in large quantities; I don't think the supplement has enough to be a concern. If your dog has particular sensitivities you may want to check with your vet first. I tested this for the last week by adding it to my dogs' food and so far they are eating it and haven't been turning it away, and they can be picky, so that's a good sign. No adverse affects yet and breath is OK, but will update if I encounter any.

Started using this dental powder for my dog and it's been a great addition to his routine

It's super easy to mix into his food and he doesn't seem to mind the bacon flavor at all in fact, he eats it right up. After a couple weeks I noticed his breath improving, and his teeth look a bit cleaner too. I like that it includes probiotics for gut support, so it feels like it's doing more than just helping with dental health. It's a simple, no-hassle way to stay on top of plaque and tartar without brushing every day. Overall, really happy with it and definitely plan to keep using it.

Good Alternative for Senior Pets

We have 5 dogs and 1 cat--all of them are seniors, ages 10-18, so dental cleanings are not an option for most of them because of their ages and medical issues. Two of the pets, specifically, really needed help with bad breath issues, caused from bad teeth. We've tried other dental products, but none of them worked. This particular brand is easy to use and the dogs really seem to like the bacon-flavored powder that can easily be blended with their dry and wet foods. We have noticed a slight improvement over the first week of using and I have high hopes that the powder will continue to work with cleaning their teeth and improving their bad breath issues. We will keep using this product.

Dental powder

I received the Pets are Kids Dog dental powder. I've been giving this to my 2 GSDs for the last week or so and I can't say it's been good or bad as I haven't noticed any difference. They weren't excited about it but they also didn't avoid it. I feed my dogs twice a day, morning and evening. The quality seems good and my dogs haven't had any adverse issues from it. I don't know if I need to give this more time but I'm almost out and I haven't seen any benefits from it.

Expensive, not sure if worth it

The Scoops are easy to administer. My dog eats it with no issues. I have not seen full effects of her taking it yet but she seems to enjoy it with no problems. I think it will s Expensive though even with discount. Probably would not reorder unless it did as good as a job for a cleaning for teeth cleaning from my vet or groomer.

EFFECTIVE IN IMPROVING MY DOG'S BAD BREATH, AND MORE!!!

The Pets Are Kids Dog Dental Powder has worked well in improving my dog's bad breath, which wasn't constant, but sometimes when she yawned or barked right in front of my face ... Wow!! I nearly got knocked out from the smell!! I remember asking Amazon's Rufus if this powder can be applied manually to the dog's teeth and it said No, so it's important to remember that this powder is to be ingested by your dog. My dog's teeth don't seem to have as much tartar, which is a great thing, and her gut health appears to have improved, too, because her stools are firmer. Woo-Hoo!!! This product is EXPENSIVE, especially for the small amount of powder you get in a container. Add to that, if you have a dog 50 pounds or over, like I do, the recommended dosage is 3 scoops daily. That means it won't take too long to go through a container. However, if you get the Marvelous Results that I did, it will be well worth it for the improvement in your doggo's health and wellbeing!

It's all it says it is!

It's a powder form that you mix with their food once a day, from one scoop I think up to 3 scoops, Prince didn't really have bad breath to begin with but I can say I don't smell anything on him now. I showed a picture of the cat because he was eating it as well (not sure if it's not good for him but he like it as well) the scoop itself looks like it's about 1/4a teaspoon, so depending on how many your using a day it'll last a good while. It's definitely worth the money especially when I don't have to fight to brush his teeth or worry about him being teeth problems later because of helps control tartar and plaque. So I give a definite 5 star and highly recommend

Pets won't touch the stuff

It's incredibly difficult to review a product for pets when your pets refuse to use the product. I wish I could give you more information on how well this worked or how much do use or the consistency etc. but both my small dog and my cats refused to go near their food with this powder on top of it. I did not try mixing it in any other things so that's one other thing I could think of, but other than that again I can't really give a good quality review stating the effects of this, because again, my pets wouldn't go near it. For that reason alone, I obviously would not recommend buying this product. I do love this brand and use a different product of theirs that works amazingly well, so definitely don't want to steer you away from this brand and I was excited to try this, however, again, this is just a miss for me because if my pets aren't willing to use it, I can't review it properly.

Dog don't like it

We tried just sprinkling this on their food like the instructions state. We tried mixing it in their food. We mixed it with some food topper stuff and that is the only way we can get these dogs to eat this. They've taken to dumping the food out and picking up each individual kibble! That's how much they don't like this! Completely refuses to eat this bacon” flavor toothpaste… I'm not about to taste this myself but it definitely doesn't have a bacon smell.

okay

have never been too certain of whether these powders 'help' abrasively - and have only ever used them under the premise of 'vitamin supplement' and not 'teeth brushing' - tho they can help with bad breath but really if you've got a dog and that bugs you, maybe consider that because they're animals and their bodily norms are not the same as humans really hope folks remember that - they're not a fashion item, they're living creatures with their own desires/comforts If you REALLY cared you'd actually be brushing their teeth twice a day so...adding to food doesn't sound like much abrasion would be happening especially since dog's don't really 'chew'...more like chomp and gulp I do know that gut biome health is as important for them as it is for us so that's how I feel you should be considering this and be warned there's not a lot here - feels like buying potato chips where most of the bag is air - firstly only half full - secondly a 'loose powder' - ala not a lot here - price is also very high for quantity/serving count

Puppy Approved Bacon Flavored Powder That Battles Bad Breath

It's safe to say that most puppies love bacon, so incorporating that flavor into something that's also healthy for them is positive. Bella, who's the oldest of my girlfriend's 2 poodle terriers, has a sensitive stomach, which leads to pretty bad puppy breath. Due to her age, her gums aren't as strong anymore, so she prefers soft food, and more specifically, fully cooked super market chicken that's diced up for her. Since she tends to take a while to eat her soft food, which is her way of asking for whatever my girlfriend and I are eating, sprinkling this bacon flavored powder on her food was a good test. She actually went back to her soft food, and finished it faster than she normally would, and then she came looking for diced chicken. For me, that's a pretty good sign because it takes her around 10 mins to eat her soft food. This time, it was around 3 mins, and that's been consistent over the last 4 days that she's been eating her soft food with this bacon flavored powder. After 4 days, Bella's breath has improved a little, which is better than nothing given how severe it can be. Tupac, my girlfriend's other poodle terrier, doesn't have issues with his breath, and while he can eat soft or dry dog food, he prefers soft food as well. We mixed this powder with his dry food and he licked the bowl to get more of the bacon flavor. The ingredients are safe and healthy, which is incredibly important given how much love puppies bring into our lives. The only thing that would make this better would be a full package of powder, as other reviewers have noted, this is roughly half full. With 2 puppies and 60 servings, that's 30 days, whereas a full container would be 120 servings. The packaging does state that it's 60 scoops, so this very happy puppy approved powder is still getting a s 5 stars.
